No. Portraits are made just from your beat and the look you choose. If you have clips, the regular Cascade flow cuts them to your beat instead.

Yes. Each Portraits export uses one export from the same monthly allowance as your other videos: Free 5, Creator 30, Pro 90, plus any bonus exports. Previews are free. If an export fails, we give it back, up to twice a month.
A video style is the best way to get the cut you mean. Without one, Cascade still builds beat-synced edits from your footage. Upload the reference as a video file (MP4 or MOV), for example one you saved from TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts. Pasting a link is not supported. Matching is strongest when the reference has clear cuts.
