Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Cascade (“Cascade,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our websites, apps, and related services (the “Services”), including cascadedept.com.

By using the Services, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. For questions, contact us at support@cascadedept.com.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

Account and contact information

  • Name, email address, and authentication identifiers
  • Profile details you choose to provide (for example Creator Profile preferences)
  • Support messages and other communications you send us

Content you upload or create

  • Audio, video, images, captions, video styles, and project/campaign data
  • Preview and export outputs generated through the Services
  • Creative preferences and usage patterns tied to Creative DNA features

Billing and membership

  • Plan selection, subscription status, and payment-related metadata
  • Payment card details are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Technical and usage data

  • IP address, device/browser type, operating system, and approximate location
  • Pages viewed, features used, timestamps, and performance/diagnostic logs
  • Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies (see section 6 and our Cookie Policy)
  • If you Accept optional cookies: session recordings and heatmaps (Microsoft Clarity), advertising and conversion events (Meta Pixel), and page-view counts (Vercel Web Analytics). These do not run before you Accept.

Referrals and marketing

  • Referral codes when you open a link with ?ref=. Campaign parameters from an ad or landing link are stored in the optional attribution cookie only after you Accept (see section 6).
  • Newsletter signup information if you subscribe

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services
  • Authenticate accounts and secure access
  • Process uploads, generate previews/exports, and personalize Creative DNA features
  • Process payments, manage memberships, and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Respond to support requests and send service-related notices
  • Send marketing communications where permitted (you can unsubscribe)
  • Analyze usage, troubleshoot issues, and develop new features
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service

4. How we share information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers that help us run the Services. The ones tied to the tools in section 6 are Microsoft (Clarity), Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel), Vercel (hosting and Web Analytics), Supabase (authentication and database), and Stripe (payments). We also use providers for storage, email, rendering, and support.
  • Professional advisors such as lawyers, accountants, or insurers when needed
  • Authorities when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security
  • Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not share your uploaded beats, footage, or video style media publicly unless you choose to do so or a feature you use requires sharing.

5. Your content and ownership

You retain ownership of the music, footage, and other materials you upload. We process that content to provide the Services (including analysis, preview, and export). You are responsible for having the rights needed to upload and use that content.

6. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

A small notice at the bottom-left of every page asks you to Accept or Decline before we load optional analytics and advertising tools. We show that notice to every visitor. We do not check your country first. Closing it with the X hides it in that tab only and is not an Accept. You can change your mind later with Cookie settings on the Cookie Policy, which also lists the cookie categories.

Strictly necessary

These are used to run the product. They are set without the cookie notice, and they are not advertising cookies.

  • Supabase authentication. When you sign in, Supabase sets session cookies so you stay signed in. The names look like sb-<project>-auth-token (sometimes split into chunks) and, during some sign-in flows, a short-lived code-verifier cookie. A visitor who never signs in does not get these.
  • Referral cookie (cascade_ref). If you open a link that includes a ?ref= code, we store that code in an httpOnly cookie for 30 days so a later signup can be tied to the person who invited you. An ordinary visit does not set it.

Optional — only after you Accept

If you Decline, or if you have not chosen yet, we do not load these tools and we do not set their cookies.

  • Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) — session recording and heatmaps. After you Accept, Clarity loads from clarity.ms and records how the page is used, including clicks, scrolling, and a replay of the session, so we can see which parts of the site are hard to use. It then sets cookies such as _clck and _clsk on cascadedept.com. Microsoft and Bing may also set cookies such as CLID, MUID, MR, SM, ANONCHK, and SRM_B. We send a few named product events (for example that a control was used) and mark some page sections so they show up in Clarity. We do not send your password or payment card to Clarity.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms) — advertising and conversion measurement. After you Accept, the pixel loads from connect.facebook.net and sends events to facebook.com. Those events include page views, content views (such as pricing), account registration, checkout start, purchase, and a few product milestones (first project, first generation, first export, and similar). It sets an _fbp cookie on our site. Meta may set its own cookie, such as fr. We do not send email addresses, file names, prompts, audio names, or reference-video URLs to the pixel. Purchase events are sent only after our server confirms a paid Stripe checkout.
  • Vercel Web Analytics (Vercel) — page-view counts for this site. After you Accept, a script on our domain sends page views to Vercel. It does not set its own cookie on cascadedept.com.
  • Signup attribution (cascade_src). After you Accept, we may store an httpOnly cookie for up to 90 days with the page you landed on, the referring site, and campaign parameters from the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content). We use that to see which link a later signup came from. A copy is also kept in local storage under cascade_signup_attribution.

Other storage

  • Cookie choice. Accept or Decline is stored in local storage as cascade-cookie-consent.
  • Theme. If you pick light or dark, that preference is stored in local storage on your device.
  • Presence. While a page is open we store a random id in local storage (cascade_presence_id) and send that id and the page path to our own server about every 30 seconds, so we can see how many people are on the site. This is not Microsoft, Meta, or an advertising cookie.
  • Signed-in product activity. If you are signed in, some actions (such as starting a session or finishing an export) are saved to your account in our database.

How to opt out or withdraw

  • Choose Decline on the notice. Optional tools are not loaded.
  • If you already accepted, open Cookie settings on the Cookie Policy and choose Decline. We delete the optional cookies we can remove from this site (_clck, _clsk, _fbp, _fbc), delete the attribution cookie and its local storage copy, and reload the page so Clarity and the Meta Pixel stop. Cookies Microsoft or Meta set on their own domains have to be removed in your browser settings.
  • You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies can sign you out or stop a referral link from being remembered.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account or certain data, subject to legal and operational limits (for example billing records we must keep).

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your home country.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision. To exercise rights, email support@cascadedept.com. We may need to verify your request.

You can update some profile information in-product, manage email via unsubscribe links, and change optional cookies with Cookie settings on the Cookie Policy or in your browser.

11. Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

12. Third-party links and services

The Services may link to third-party sites or integrate third-party tools. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for those practices.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Policy, except where additional consent is required by law.
